Our team (NALO Noise, Air Quality, Lighting and Odour) of multidisciplinary environmental consultants survey, assess and advise on specific situations, including acting as expert witness at hearings and inquiries. We typically undertake surveys then use innovative computer-based modelling techniques to predict noise, air quality, wind, odour or lighting levels and assess acoustic performance. Our clients include UK MoD, Sainsburys, Amazon (projects in UK, France, Italy, Germany, Spain, Poland & Egypt), together with a variety of local authorities and transportation, retail, house and commercial building developer clients. Our services include: Environmental noise and vibration, including assessment and developing mitigation measures for buildings, highways, mining and blasting and complex scenarios Building acoustics Occupational noise and hygiene Air quality & microclimate Environmental lighting and 'right of light' Odour This role will some involve overnight stays and the occasional weekend/evening work. Key Responsibilities: Manages own and others time to ensure that assigned work is completed to deadlines and is of good quality Organising and reviewing monitoring plans Organising team members pool cars, equipment and site access Team management when deputising for the Team Leader Project management, including managing project finances, invoicing, project costing, procurement of equipment Fee proposals and tender writing for NALO monitoring projects Liaising with site contacts in real-time as monitoring limit exceedances occur Compiling results based technical monitoring reports Preparing technicians for surveys and providing guidance to surveyors undertaking site visits Troubleshooting noise and air quality equipment issues Following up on work assigned even if completed by others Verbal and written communication is professional, recorded and shared with all necessary team members and filed correctly for all to access Health and safety awareness Conform to CDOP, policies and NALO procedures (including essential tasks such as timesheet completion) and promote compliance to others Qualifications & Experience Ideally degree qualified, or equivalent Noise/acoustics or air quality experience beneficial but not essential Due to noise, light, odour, and vibration monitoring the candidate must have good physical health, good hearing and olfactory acuity (sense of smell).Good geospatial interpretation ability in order to find and identify precise locations Good Geospatial interpretation ability in order to identify precise locations Must be willing to work flexibly to tight timescales Able to use technical equipment on the field with minimum supervision A full, valid UK driving license is essential Follow relevant policies and procedures Tetra Tech is a leading provider of high-end consulting and engineering services for projects worldwide.
